I must have the smartest group of seniors in West Florida. I've got one starting a data base for addresses of friends, another working with an IPAQ (like a Blackberry) and syncing files to his network. Another Couple has a wireless hybrid network with shared printers and scanners. There's no limit to what you can learn, and these seniors do it every day. Great Job.

Cell Phones don't help Wireless

Because Mobile Phones (home) & Wireless networks transmit at the same frequency, there problems. We're finding that offices with heavy use of wireless phones and the cheaper Wireless PCI cards are in for problems (Disconnects, poor thouroughput, etc). As the new protocols are approved, Wireless b & G will be out of wireless phone offices. Our recomendations, use either one or the other i.e. Wireless network, wired phones, or wireless phones hardwired network. We've been experimenting with various antennas but are not pleased with there results.
